I have removed my lower wisdom tooth long back. Ten years back. I have lower jaw pain under ear and neck. Dentist took CbcT scan and said suspected fracture in #46. He took CbcT before and after RCT. Still have same symptoms after rct. Jaw and neck pain for 8 months now. The cbct report said something about the lower wisdom tooth removal. Is it possible to leave any root left from that extraction?
• Lingual undercut is noted i.r.t 47-48 region and 37-38 region.
• Prominent buccal crest is noted i.r.t edentulous 48 region.cortices are intact.
Buccal crestal exostosis is noted with edentulous 48 region.
• Localized concavity is noted with the lingual plate i.r.t 47-48 region.
What does it mean by these findings on the CbcT? Is my lower jaw pain under ear and side of the neck is because of lower wisdom tooth? Anything left in that Extraction?
I have this pain for 8 months now and been to different dentist, ent, neurologist, oral surgeon. No diagnosis yet.
