Hello All
A case of extremely buccally positioned maxillary implant, this lead to anesthetic huge buccally inclined temporary restoration, our plan was to remove the cementable abutment procedure to fixed detachable prostheses ,the result obtained was better and satisfactory to the patient.
Patient was advised to use water Pic for oral care, to keep the case in good hygiene.
Conclusion: -
Case was shared for two reason, first planning of the case is important with, the use of surgical guide, the buccally inclined implants probably was inserted in buccal socket.
Secondly, digital guides are a safe and accurate procedure.
Your comments and thoughts are welcomed.

Buccally malpositioned implants often have no bone and no or very thin soft tissue with increased risk for peri-implantitis. With proven techniques in atraumatic explantation and site development, and implant replacement following digital planning and 3-D guided stents, long-term predictable options become more clear. This of course requires engagement of the patient in the decision making process based on their expectations and future outlook.
