In Sinus Augmentation
Case of an upper right canine cracked crown with the necessity of an implant replacement. The tooth apex was drawing out in the sinus so a membrane elevation was necessary. The ankylosed root has been easily extracted with the magnetic mallet blade insert. By using conical osteotomes the bio-material has been pushed by gently cracking the sinus floor while laser marks on the tips helped to reach the correct work lenght. After 4-5 increases was possible to place a 4.2mm ø x 11.5mm. The bone condensation has generated 60 Ncm torque. The crest thickness was 7mm, performing about 5-6 mm sinus elevation without damages. The post op x-ray shows how the particulate bone moved to surround the medial apex of the sinus, gently moving it up and back. The 5 months post op x-ray shows the complete integration of the bone graft and the sinus health.
