Formal Orthodontics vs Cheaper Alternatives

I am curious about what you tell customers about the difference between getting braces with a formal professional as opposed to getting a cheaper less formal solution like Invisible Braces.

It seems to me that it is not a bad alternative if you have minimal corrections required. Obviously if you have major needs than patients will want to go to a formal orthodontist. How have you guys been able to attract people to formal orthodontics with these cheaper and less visible options available.

Good questions....We do both in our office. It really depends on the severity of the patient's problems. If we can be conservative we will but most of our patients come in or request no braces. Therefore Invisalign has been a popular alternative especially when some restorative treatment will be required following tooth movement. And in many cases we will give the patient options, meaning a restorative choice vs orthodontic care by itself or with restorative combination. Good Luck...Ron
