Sormani Queiroz, outstanding video and presentation. You are obviously very talented and experienced! please post more in the future. My question is do you prefer Titanium Mesh and particulate autogenous bone for these defects over autologous block? And have you nay experience with BMP-2 and ACS?
many thanks Sam

Dear Sam, thank you for the kind words. I've been using block bone grafts for many years with good and predictable results. I started using a titanium mesh plus particulate bone for about a year and am having amazing results, especially with regard to the three-dimensional shape of the reconstructed bone. The disadvantages are the necessity of a very wide exposure area to place and to remove the mesh, as well as the high percentage of exposure of the mesh. Regarding the use of rhBMP-2, the price is still too expensive in my country but we are beginning to use it in the maxillary sinus or with titanium mesh. I hope to publish some cases here soon. Best regards.
Sormani.

Shane,
This trephine is made by a Brazilian implant supplier called INP, but i think that this is a copy of some international company.
Thank you for watching the video.

Thank you Ali. In fact, is just one ti-mesh, I just divided it to avoid the anterior nasal spine in the apical area of the maxillary midline.

Parabéns Sormani,
Ótima apresentação e qualidade do seu trabalho e muito bom. Nós realmente aqui no Brasil temos grande dificuldades com os preços do BMP e as malhas tem realmente um excelente resultado.
Parabéns.

Sormani,
Nicely done. Going forward, do you have plans to modify or augment soft tissue? I find muscle pulls and lack of KT to be problematic and often result in relapse. Chuck
