Hi there. Which guide is more accurate. U want to extract remining teeth and place implant and use surgical guide.
1. Bone rest guide.
2. Teeth rest guide. You seat the guide on stable teeth, place pins and secure the guide, remove the top portion of the guide, remove teeth, place osteotomy part to the base of the guide and secure it to the base.
Thanks

Tooth supported guide is more accurate because you can merge an intraoral scan to the cbct to create the guide with more accuracy for seating.

Teeth rest guide is more accurate bone rest guide.

If I have to choose I'll go for Teeth rest guide. Because it's more accurate than bone rest guide.

In my opinion, the most accurate stent is the bone one. And this is justify by the fact that the more distant you are from bone level the higher is angle or depth value of inaccuracy .
