Two protocols to make guided surgery even more predictable:
1. The Cotton Rolls CBCT Scan Protocol and
2. The Model + Waxup 3D Scan Protocol

The Cotton Rolls Protocol to make visible the gingiva, mainly for STL registration purposes (i.e. plaster model over DICOM).

The Model + Waxup Protocol to register (sync, overlap) the basic plaster model + the waxup with great accuracy (including full denture waxups). For SIMPLANT and others (if supported).

These two protocols permit to monitor the CT Guided Surgical Stent preparations in an easy and visual way (by all, technicians and dentists).

These two protocols working together are a must IMHO specially for Kennedy Class I cases where teeth are present only in the anterior area, making very difficult to register the posterior areas, particularly when the teeth are with scatter.

Sample implementing the Cotton Rolls Protocol

With and without implementing the Cotton Rolls Protocol in a Kennedy Class I Mand. The posterior gingiva very clear thanks to the air around it.

The same concept with CEREC, BSB, surgical guide is under $60.
Here is a video I used that technique:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjwE4hS51to
