Staged approach for Socket Type 2

0 Rating(s).

Posted on By snjezana pohl In Implants

A young patient with socket type 2. Usually, I perform mIVAN procedure (simultaneous hard and soft tissue augmentation with PCTG utilization) for the socket preservation/reconstruction and place implant after 4 months. This patient couldn`t afford postoperative morbidity at the time of tooth extraction, so I postponed the soft tissue augmentation for the time of implant placement. Partially demineralized dentin autograft is used to graft the socket, collagen membrane in the ice cone style and PRF membrane to cover the collagen membrane.
