Segmental Full Arch Rehabilitation

A 73 year old man had a worn attrited teeth because of negligent oral care ,but the verticals dimension was maintained reason being supra eruption of the worn teeth.
We planned complete extraction of all hopeless teeth and eight implants in maxilla with six in mandible and segmented screw retained prosthesis, access holes on buccal were closed with composites.
It was quite a journey for me as during prosthesis fabrication one upper left molar implant failed ,which is being replaced now as single replacement. I deliberately avoided a cantilever in that area,as could have jeopardized the out come in long run of the prosthesis.iMPLANTS/BIOHORIZON

Hi Farhan, Nice job here. What is the advantage of segmenting the full arch? I would recommend you use Multi Units for cases like this. So easy to get angled abutments, or even angled screw channels to get emergence in palatal. Thanks for sharing.

thank you for appreciating the hard work andoni jones The reason for segmented prosthesis , Maxillary Implant-Supported Fixed Prosthesis: A Survey of Reviews and Key Variables for Treatment Planning. Advantages of a segmented prosthesis included pragmatic issues of accommodating divergent implants, attaining passive fit, combining prosthetic materials, and relative simplicity of repair.

Where do you/we see or observe, the "clinical evidence" to accept the following statements; Quotes, 1. A 73 year old man had a worn attrited teeth because of neglected oral care 2. but the verticals dimension was maintained 3. reason being supra eruption of the worn teeth ***************** Questions and "comments" 1. Looking at the photos, the "periodontal complex" seems to be, or at least appears to be a "nature granted" marvelous, magnificent, robust and fantastic gift to this individual... is it? 2. Yes, Attrition, severe Attrition qualifies as "neglected care" 3. What would be meaning for "verticals dimension was maintained"? 4. Where in the photos do we see, the "supra eruption of the worn teeth"? 5. more questions to follow...
