PET with staged implant placement: Glocker style

86 Rating(s).

Posted on By UDATTA KHER In Implants

Implant placements following a socket whiled can be staged. This case demonstrates a maxillary premolar needed an extraction. The shield was prepared and the extraction socket was left to heal. At 6 weeks an implant was placed in a restoratively driven position. A provisional crown was made. Definitive restoration was made after 3 months.
Good option for clinicians who might find shield preparation and implant placement in the same appointment very challenging. Also a good option to allow resolution of the periodical infection.
