Hi Maurice,

I like open flap as well, much more control, in my experience zero buccal resorption.

But why raise distal papilla? I do papilla sparing incisions, scarring hasn't been an issue so far.

If the Bone "IHB" (interproximal height of bone) is sounded to 4.5mm on adjacent tooth no reason for a vertical incision? Also, distal papilla on lateral is less of an esthetic issue area....I do typically see scarring....but it worked well in your case. regards Dr. S
