Case referred for advanced periodontal disease, bone mottling and loss, bilateral maxillary ONFs, L mandibular pathological fracture, and multiple surgical extractions.

15 year old patient, bilateral heart murmurs, mobile mandible, intact female w probable endometritis. In other words nightmare waiting to happen...

Treatment planning included safe anesthetic protocol, ONFs repair, XSS, fracture reduction and stabilization, grafting etc... Time allotted 3 hours

IV fluids and induction, intubation... then... circulatory collapse and the whole nine yards ( HR=35; O2 saturation 80%; pulmonary edema; BP <)

Emergency treatment: Atropine, Epinephrine, O2 push, Furosemide etc.

The procedure was complete in 1hr and 10 minutes ( not pretty and no grafting )

This little dog had a guardian angel with her today. The patient walked out of the clinic tail wagging, HR normal, chest clear ANIMALS AMAZING

Rocco ( What a day )

Dramatic and sad story with a happy end! A movie should be made, at the end a tail wagging dog with a guardian angel:)
Best regards
