mIVAN technique with dentin autograft for the failed implant

In this case no attempt was done to augment the tissue and save the implant. The patient has been suffering a long time recurrent inflammations and wanted to get this implant removed. mIVAN technique with dentin autograft was done. I haven`t placed ice-cone shaped collagen membrane (which is a part of the mIVAN procedure). My experience with non demineralized dentin autograft in non esthetic area was that the collagen membrane is not obligatory. The final result is nice, but based on a few similar cases I would say that in cases with damaged periosteum, the collagen membrane is beneficial.
