Graft Vs. Immediate Implant??
Posted on 07.09.2012 05:42 PM
By Larry Liston
In Anterior/Esthetic
Tooth #9 previous RCT unable to remove post. Will perform extraction. From the cone beam I am unable to determine on the buccal plate if there is enough bone to do a immediate implant or if I would need to bone graft first and wait for the bone graft adhere and then place implant. I have uploaded 4 images.

I sugest ortodontic extrusion, because you dont have bone on the apical part to anchor the implant and get good primary stability, go for orto or graft but, inmediate implant its not a good option, regards, Andres Paraud

Dr Paraud
Thank you for your suggestions, I will graft this case after Extraction. Would you consider grafting the incisive canal in this case?

I should try to bypass the incisive canal by inclining slightly the drilling direction. In any case i need to see more adjacent slices but depending on my experience, things mostly differs a bit in clinical or operational field. After all you should try before grafting
