Lateral view allows to discriminate the dramatic horizontal tissue shrinkage
2 After flap elevation and first osteotomy, implant site was expanded with a magnetic mallet. No soft tissue graft was performed
3 Soft tissue appearance 3 months after provisional restoration
4 Lateral overview four years after loading: horizontal width and vertical height were re-established

Beautiful results. Please explain the role of magnetics in bone expansion.

the osteotomes are not manually operated. It has been used a device called magnetic mallet that increases the forces delivered reducing in the meantime the shockwave for the patience. The osteotomy is performed in total control and a-traumatically. The same device is used for extraction with a specific insert
